Doctor's Answer: dr. Selvi Nafisa Shahab
Hello Mrs. Irnova! Thanks for asking in Alodokter.
Your illness may be irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is a frequent and recurrent bowel functional disorder in the long term. When relapse, usually the patient will experience severe stomach pain accompanied by changes in CHAPTER pattern, can become hard and rare or dilute and often. Abdominal pain in IBS will decrease after patient CHAPTER. IBS recurrence can be triggered by infection, psychological stress, eating certain foods, or when menstruating. When relapse, the quality of life of the patient can be severely disrupted until the patient may not be able to go to school or work. To treat IBS well, patients should receive therapy from an internist (especially subspesialis gastroenterology) and psychiatrist. Both are important not only to overcome pain, but also to prevent pain from reappearing.
In addition to IBS, severe abdominal pain can also be caused by various autoimmune diseases. Disorders of the central nervous system, including the brain, also can not be excluded. To be sure, direct inspection and laboratory checks are required. Instead, Mother immediately see a doctor. If you have a bloody chapter, pale and weak, fever, or weight loss drastically, immediately come to the nearest hospital emergency room.
That is my explanation. I hope this helps.
Regards,
dr. Selvi
